I was completely fed up with the lack of skills and poor service that I had experienced in Boulder hair salons. The hairdressers that I had worked with were inconsistent in quality, some were prima donnas with terrible attitudes, and I was often kept waiting for as long as an hour for my appointment!

Eight years ago, a friend recommended Pompadours Salon, and specifically Eddie. She was the owner of a successful day spa, and definitely recognized quality and good service, so I valued her opinion. I tried Eddie, and was amazed. He is incredibly talented and professional with a very positive and pleasant attitude--a fantastic experience! My hair is long and very curly and has challenged hairdressers all my life. Not Eddie. He is excellent with my curly hair. He is truly an artist. I would never risk a bad experience by going elsewhere, even when I'm traveling.

I will say that I have had to work with a few of the other hairdressers at Pompadours from time to time, when I've had to reschedule at last minute when Eddie was not available. I have been very pleased with their work, as well.

Recently, I introduced my six year old daughter (also with long, curly
hair) to Pompadours for the first time. Lisa has cut her hair twice, both times being remarkable! We were both thrilled. It has been a really fun experience for my little girl, and Lisa does a beautiful job--really amazing.

Pompadours is open and sunny, with lots of light and windows, overlooking Pearl Street. I recommend Pompadours wholeheartedly to anyone; It is a 100% great experience.

Our Staff

Lisa Fraser, Owner, Senior Master Stylist

Lisa Fraser, owner of Pompadours since the doors opened in 1990, has been doing hair since 1980. She won the 1980 Colorado Hairstyling Olympics and placed in the top 10 on the National level. Over the years, Lisa has studied with Jingles, Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, Peter Hantz, Rita Rusk,Misael Aponte, Schwartzkopf,as well as many others. She has trianed at the Aveda Advanced Academies in both Minneapolis and Soho NYC with some of the best in the industry such as Gina Derry, Oscar Bond, and Rudy Miles. Her role as a teacher and mentor inspires old and new talent here at Pompadours.

Amanda Touch, Education Director, Master Stylist

Amanda Touch is a Certified Aveda Educator. She has paticipated in major industry events including Aveda Congress in 2005 and 2008, Aveda Master Jams in Fall of 2005 and Spring of 2006 and 2010. As a leader and teacher, she helped develop curriculum for the Aveda Institute Denver. Amanda stays current on all the Aveda Collections including bridal and make up styles, most recently attending Color Harmony with Aveda's Lupe Voss. Amanda is now certified to do Cinderella Hair Extensions.

Andrea Catron, Master Stylist

Andrea Catron has more than five years salon experience, having the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship here at Pompadours. During her pursuit of advanced education, Andrea has perfected special occasion hair and make up looks from classic to modern. After technique classes with Matt Swinney, Toni and Guy, Albie Mulchay and others, Andrea has invented her own short women's cutting styles and creations. She also had opportunities to learn advanced color melting, placement, and foiling techniques from the leaders in the industry.

Edward Donisvitch, Owner, Senior Master Stylist

Co-Owner of Pompadours Hair Salon, Eddie Donisvitch has been voted best hairstylist in Boulder by the Colorado Daily Readers Choice Awards. Eddie attends shows nationally including the International Beauty Show in New York and the Toni & Guy Trends shows in Las Vegas. Eddie is very involved in the community and network. Some of his advanced training includes classes by America Crew, Nick Arroyo, Schwarzkopf Education, and the Aveda Advanced Academies in Minneapolis and SoHo, NYC.

Eileen Kantor, Master Stylist

Eileen has been in the hair industry since 2003. Her talents range from elegant bridal and special occasion styling to the classics, to more wild and artistic looks. She owned her own salon in the Chicogo area where she was the official stylist to the Arenaline Rush Dancers. She is American Crew certified, a Redken specialist, and has had advanced training with Aveda, Vidal Sassoon,Tony & Guy,, Swartzkopf, Sebastion,as well as color correction with Miseal Aponte, and make up with RudyMiles. A passionate stylist, there are no projects too large for Eileen.

Stephanie Moore, Advanced Stylist

Stephanie Moore attended school at the Aveda Institute Denver, graduating at the top of her class. During her education she was a lead stylist for several hair, fashion, and art shows. She had many exciting opportunities including attending Master Jam in 2006 and training underclassmen for the state board licensing exam. She's continued her advanced technique training with Schwarzkopf Color Education and Aveda Education. Most recently, Stephanie became American Crew certified, specializing in men's haircutting. Stephanie is a talented team member here at Pompadours.

Tessa Brooke Ryan, Advanced Stylist

Tessa Brooke Ryan is thrilled to be part of Pompadours Salon after graduating from the Aveda Institute Denver as Valedictorian of her class and member of the Artistic Team. Tessa has had the opportunity to work as the Hair and Makeup Artist for several fashion shows, local catalogues and photo shoots. She’s had workshops with Rudy Miles and David Gats, both influential in the Aveda network. Most recently Tessa attended Hair Color Magic Essentials in Los Angeles with Aveda’s Lupe Voss, which inspires her to become an Aveda Color Pure-Fessional.
