I was completely fed up with the lack of skills and poor service that I had experienced in Boulder hair salons. The hairdressers that I had worked with were inconsistent in quality, some were prima donnas with terrible attitudes, and I was often kept waiting for as long as an hour for my appointment!

Eight years ago, a friend recommended Pompadours Salon, and specifically Eddie. She was the owner of a successful day spa, and definitely recognized quality and good service, so I valued her opinion. I tried Eddie, and was amazed. He is incredibly talented and professional with a very positive and pleasant attitude--a fantastic experience! My hair is long and very curly and has challenged hairdressers all my life. Not Eddie. He is excellent with my curly hair. He is truly an artist. I would never risk a bad experience by going elsewhere, even when I'm traveling.

I will say that I have had to work with a few of the other hairdressers at Pompadours from time to time, when I've had to reschedule at last minute when Eddie was not available. I have been very pleased with their work, as well.

Recently, I introduced my six year old daughter (also with long, curly
hair) to Pompadours for the first time. Lisa has cut her hair twice, both times being remarkable! We were both thrilled. It has been a really fun experience for my little girl, and Lisa does a beautiful job--really amazing.

Pompadours is open and sunny, with lots of light and windows, overlooking Pearl Street. I recommend Pompadours wholeheartedly to anyone; It is a 100% great experience.

Our Staff

Lisa Fraser

Lisa Fraser, owner of Pompadours since 1990, has been doing hair since 1979. She won the 1981 Hairstyling Olympics and placed top 10 on the National level. Lisa has studied with Jingles of NY, Vidal Sassoon of Santa Monica, Toni & Guy of Dallas, Peter Hantz, and the Aveda Institutes in both Minneapolis and New York. Lisa keeps her education current by attending classes both locally and nationally.

Eileen Kantor

Eileen Kantor has been behind the chair since 2003. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, she brings a city edge to the laid back style of Boulder. Eileen is an American Crew Certified hairstylist. She recently became a Redken Specialist, studying under some of Redken's greatest artists, Jeff Whitford and JB Diagle. Eileen specializes in bridal and special occasion styling (winning Evening Style Competition, January 2003), natural looking highlights, soft layering techniques, fades, and the "no hair cut, hair cut" of her own design. In May of 2006, Eileen had the opportunity to style hair for a fashion show at Boulder's own Fox Theater, and the cover model for Inside Triathlon Magazine's May 2007 issue. Eileen has also recently attended the Toni and Guy Show and Classes in Las Vegas, an advanced color class with Misael Aponte of Schwarzkopf Education, and spent a week at the Vidal Sassoon center in San Francisco.

Alicia Geiger

Alicia Geiger recently graduated from the Aveda Insitute Denver with high honors.

During her education at the Aveda Insitute, Alicia was selected to do vivid haircolor on a cast member of Cirque du Soleil. She was part of the make up team for an Aveda Trends Fashion Show, and hair and wardrobing for another. As alumni, Alicia has been invited to assist in teaching styling and color theory classes as well as judge for scholarship events. Previous to her cosmetology career, Alicia graduated Cum Laude from the Dallas Baptist Universty with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

Andrea Catron

Andrea Catron came to Pompadours as fresh new talent in 2005, after graduating from Antoine du Chez Hairdressing Academy in Denver, and participated in our apprenticeship program. In her training, she's learned advanced color and cut techniques with Aveda educators as well as special occasion make up applications. Andrea has attended technique and formulation classes with Sebastian, Redken, and Loreal, as well as continued her make up education with James Ryder make up. Previous to cosmetology, Andrea earned her Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education and worked as a nanny and a preschool teacher. Andrea's commitment to furthering her advanced education took her to the Toni and Guy Trends show and classes in Las Vegas, and advanced cutting technique class with Albie Mulchay (former artistic director for John Sahag) of Schwarzkopf Education, and an advanced color technique class with Schwarzkopf Educator, Misael Aponte.

Edward Donisvitch

Since 1988 Edward Donisvitch has played many roles in the salon industry, including becoming part owner of Pompadours Hair Salon. In addition to receiving accreditations in publications such as the Daily Camera, Edward has been voted best hairstylist in Boulder by the Colorado Daily Readers Choice Awards. Edward's educational experiences range from Toni & Guy in Long Beach and Dallas; the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and SoHo, NYC; and being an American Crew trained men’s hairdresser. Eddie has also attended the Toni and Guy Trends shows and classes the past two years in Las Vegas.

Kathy Gondrezick

Kathy Gondrezick has been in hairdressing since 1987. Her extensive training includes hands-on classes with Aveda in Soho, NY; Toni & Guy of Dallas; Vidal Sassoon of Santa Monica; and American Crew in Denver. Kathy visited the educational center at Vidal Sassoon Academy in London where she received universal cut & color training. Most recently, Kathy enjoyed advanced cutting technique training by Albie Mulcahy (former artistic director for JohnSahag) and color melting with Misael Aponte of Schwarzkopf Education.

Tina Meyer

Tina Meyer joined Pompadours with 18 years of experience under her belt. She owned her own salon in Michigan where she specialized in Aveda Lifestyle and Education as well as becoming a Redken Amabassador salon. Her advanced training includes precison cutting with Toni and Guy, Colors of the World Technique Placement with Wella, and she was a Redken educator. As a hairstylist Tina has donated time and services for benefits including diabetes, battered women, homeless shelters, and The American Cancer Society.

Nicky Van Bulck

Valedictorian of her class, Nicky Van Bulck graduated from the Aveda Institute in Denver. She joined the Pompadours team in February 2007 and completed the apprentice program in just over six months. During her training, Nicky has participated in classes specializing in men's cutting, make up, Schwarzkopf color, redken color, and advanced women's haircutting. While in school, Nicky has had the opportunity to participate in hairstyling and make up application at Fashion shows, providing her with a strong foundation for bridal and special occasion services at the salon. Nicky was born and raised in Belgium. Her knowledge of multiple languages have allowed her to travel and work in many different countries over the past ten years, exposing her to different cultures, from Europe to China to the United States, where she has been living since the end of 1999. Before moving into the field of cosmetology, Nicky was a Database Engineer/Administrator. Currently, Nicky stays up to date on the latest fashion trends in the US and Europe, and continues to participate in further education, including an advanced color tecnique class with Schwarzkopf Educator Misael Aponte, to refine her skills.

Stephanie Moore

Stephanie Moore recently graduated from the Aveda Institute Denver with honors. During her education she was a lead stylist for several hair, fashion, and art shows. She had many exciting opportunities including attending Master Jam in 2006 and training underclassmen for the state board licensing exam. Very career driven, Stephanie is a wonderful asset to our team here at Pompadours.
